Your love of music will be an important part of your life.

I never understood why people become so attached to song that either related to songs that were about something they were going through or related to their life experience. As my itunes library grows with each passing day I find that there is a song for everyone and the best thing about music is that you can interpret it as you wish. I currently am listening to Adele's new album 21 which is amazing, like many would say. One song specifically called Rolling in the Deep standing out to me. I find this song to be two things, touching and powerful. When you have an artist like Adele that just leaves you breathless that when you realize that music has always been their for you. It has never turned it back on you and its never been there for you when you need it. It's almost like being in the perfect relationship minus the drama. As time changes my library of music grows more meaningful and powerful, each song in my library represents a different time in my life whether high or low, expects for the High School Music soundtrack, just kidding. Find that song that means the world to you and hold on to it, so when you need it it will be just a click away.

A friend asks only for your time, not your money.

I recently read an article in Oprah's April Magazine, where something stood out to me. In her section called, "What I Know For Sure", she said "I want to be able to see my reflection in the face of everyone I met, to understand that even people I will never know are reflections of my undisguised self." As I approached the end of my undergraduate education I think back on all of the people I have met, experienced life with, and sadly parted ways with. There are many people I will never know in life and when you take a moment to think of the wonderful experiences you may be missing out on you become sad, but when you reflect on the people who have made a footprint in your life you become grateful. I am GRATEFUL, probably more now then ever. With each new person I meet on my walk through life, I become excited, like a kid in the candy store wanting to have a taste of everything. I believe you can have everything, but how happy are you when you have it all? I look at the past friendships I have gained and loss and I will say that I do not regret any of them. That person, whether still in my life or not is someone that I will forever Cherish. I have begun to feel joyous for others as they continue on to their own success as I do mine. So what I leave with you is this, if you look back on life and the people who have been in or out of it, think of each one as a sample of candy, some will be your favorites that you continuously have and others are there to give you a taste of something that is only meant to last for a moment.
